The Senior Ministry will also be participating in Barnabas International's
For years, Barnabas has encouraged and supported seniors in their desire to maintain their independence, as well as their mental, pysical and spiritual well-being. One of the key activities the organization offers to live-alone-at-home seniors is a weekly, local mission trip. Seniors get out of their homes, and enjoy a day of community service with other seniors.
In 2009, Seniors on a Mission had over 300 active participants. Senior citizens ranging in age from 55 to 105 donated nearly 10,500 hours of service time to local nonprofit organizations. Together, teams of 18-35 seniors participated in 103 local mission trips. The senior citizens have touched the lives of over 294,159 fellow citizens.
Help seniors of Jacksonville go on local, day-long mission trips to fulfill their Godly purpose.
