I see God's power at work in the creation of a Fine Arts Camp on our campus. This was the vision of our own Peggy Jennings who enlisted the talents of Jim and Gwen Smith and their daughter Shannon. The dynamic program included dance, music, and the visual arts and engaged some 30 or more students for two weeks in June. Peggy not only hopes to do it again next summer, but is considering an Arts Camp for Adults and an afterschool program for children.
God is a creative Spirit and when he places that Spirit in us we are gifted to do things for Christ and His Church we could not do on our own, and even our natural talents are enhanced when we are inspired and anointed when they are given to God's service.
We are so blessed to have such gifted persons on staff and among our many volunteers in our church. The Bible says we are all gifted by the Holy Spirit and we are to use those gifts to bless others in the church and to reach those outside the church.
There is great power in a life dedicated to God, and in the lives of persons uniting in faith-filled prayer, and loving service for the Kingdom of God. Ask God to fill you with His Spirit, use you for His glory, and guide you on the path of dedicated service.
