The love of God is greater far, than tongue or pen can ever tell,
It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled and pardoned from his sin.
When years of time shall pass away and earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray, on rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love so sure shall still endure, all measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race, the saints and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade.
To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole tho stretched from sky to sky.

February is a month when we often think about love. Human love, divine love, brotherly love, romantic love, love of God and neighbor. God is love and all other true and healthy love flow from God!
In the life of our church we show love for neighbor by conducting a Blood Drive on the first Sunday and by holding the Souper Bowl of Caring the same day.
Our church affirms family love with our father/daughter dance on the first Saturday. Our Playschool celebrates family life and friendship in their special chapel on February 8th.
We celebrate the weddings held in our church through the years with a display of wedding dresses, pictures and albums and by recognizing those couples married in our church. We affirm the love and commitment between husband and wife by holding a renewal of wedding vows at all three services on February 12th. And we begin a Sacred Marriage Series on Sunday night, February 26th. We will preach on the “Wedding at Cana” window and on the fidelity of marriage when we talk about “The Adulteress” window.
On Ash Wednesday we begin an observance of Lent as we remember the commitment of our Lord to go all the way to the cross because of divine love. And on the final Sunday we begin our Confirmation study of the love of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit manifest in and through the church.
May we all seek His grace so that we might reflect His love to others.In His love,

Begin your new year in God's House with God's people as we share together The Lord's Supper at all three services on New Year's Day!
The second Sunday in January you will have the opportunity to reaffirm your baptism at all three services.
