Those attending the praise service following "Awaken Us" were asked to share answers to prayer and blessings of these days of prayer and spiritual awakening. There were children, youth and adults present. They were also asked to list those things they planned to do in response to this time of spiritual awakening.
Praise God from all blessings flow…for a teacher today…
Thank God for my wonderful family. Please keep them healthy and full of the Holy Spirit so that God's love will pour out.
Thank God for the continued healing of my wife
I felt got gave me the strength to attend the meetings because this is one of the most stressful times for teachers. I had to stay up late at night but I was refreshed in the morning!
Thanksgiving for my family.
For my Family.
I've been asking God to show me the purpose for my life. I feel like I need to be involved in mission project and when CCW was here Saturday night God was really moving in me so I am praying about that.
God is good…All the time!
I thank the church pastors, staff and church members for a wonderful week!
Praise God for calming me. Refreshing my marriage. Giving me patience for my son. It is amazing what God can do when you take it to the altar!
[EDITOR'S NOTE: The altar will alter you!]
And awaking of my desire and willingness to surrender.
I have been through a deep dark valley over the last few months and one person has always been there for me (name given). She is an angel sent from God. Many others have prayed, sent cards, called, etc. but she walks her talk. God bless her!
Healthy Children. My own home. Wonderful friends.
Healing my Dad's cancer.
A great faith-filled teacher for second grade!
Pastors that fear God and love us enough to preach what we need to hear!
Increased hours and responsibility at work soon!
Amazing turn out.
Church family.
Before Revival this week, before Revival, I wasn't really willing to witness to people and tell people about God, but when I came I really knew that I needed to give everything to God, and I did, so now I'm not afraid to!
God gives me the family I have!
Guidance with the needs of my children. He's been working in their formation and development, and giving me peace as a parent.
Thank you OUMC for a spectacular week here! God bless you!
Danny Griffin got a good report from the doctor this week!
Thanks for Your Word and faithfulness.
For answered prayer and testimonies in our church.
For blessing my family.
For waking me up.
Help me to keep watch and not be found asleep when the Lord returns.
A very good teacher.
God has been merciful to bring us to this loving body of believers when we needed healing from pat "spiritual pains." It has been freeing here, we're accepted, our son is accepted! And I didn't think, honestly, it would happen any time soon, if at all—let alone a predominately white church, which is what we had before and felt alienated from. How great to know that God hears us and gives us what we need in HIS way---and heals us through that same thing which hurt us. Praise God for His love!
My family.
I thank God for this church and pastor.
I am truly blessed with a good job, a wonderful church, a loving family and several supportive friends. My needs and many of my wants are met and
I am learning contentment.
My praise is that I have seen God work for me through my children's sweet mouth. When I have had little patience and needed a reminder to stop and pause, my daughter has at that very moment caught me and said, "Mommy, its OK. God loves you." More than once and I feel His peace in me.
God, you have blessed me and so many ways my life is so easy. I don't have anything to worry about and I thank you so much.
About ten years ago my son came to my home. At that time he was very troubled and I freaked out when he pulled out a whole bag full of drugs and I told him to get out and never come back. On Thursday there was a knock on my door and it was my son. (I hope and pray for God's healing in this matter.)
Thankful for my healthy, loving family.
Thankful for being able to spend a lot of time with my family and young children.
God has blessed me with joy working with the youth. And for a safe youth week. And for the hard work Shannon does for our youth. After all they are the future of this church.
I am thankful; for a church home where I can be myself—fears, failures, iniquities and be accepted and loved.
Mrs. Shannon is a couple blocks away from Emma Newton while she is in St Pete.
She will be seeing Emma.
The answer to my prayer is the Youth Choir!!
The youth are a blessing to me.
Praise and Glory to GOD!
To be more loving and less judgmental with my family. Having my sister here this week has been a wonderful blessing.
Matt and I are youth counselors!
Matt lost his job and stared working for his Dad (A blessing!) within 36 hours.
He is much happier!
I got to go to the Middle School of my choice.
The Lord has blessed me in so many ways. In the past four days He has opened my eyes. So I could see that His love, over power people.
I've eaten, slept and drove looking for employment. Because you have put in me your presence and I thank you Lord Jesus Amen.
I just want to thank God for leading me back to my home church and providing such loving friends here.
Answer to be able to attend church meetings and letting Satan have no part in my day that revolves around the Lord which is everyday!
I feel He is close to me again.
My son! He requires extra patience, but is a blessing! Also my family could not be more supportive and understanding. I have made so many wonderful friends at church that have made me feel so welcome.
The scripture lesson from Dan's sermon this morning was a blessing and a wonderful way to start the school year. Thanks be to God for the reminder of how to treat others in our daily lives.
Spend more time praying and thanking God for His blessings…reflect on the beauty passed on to our family from Moms and Dads, Grandparents, former pastors that we have known since I was 2 or 3 years old until today!
God help me to love my family and friends with all my heart, all my soul and help me to be slow to anger and remember that God loves.
Talk to my neighbor and offer to help.
I would like God to fix all the people going into 7th grade. We think some are so cool and some follow them and then they stared following everything---shoes, clothes, words and so they started cursing. That's when I left.
I need to refrain from being influenced negatively by critical remarks from-co-workers about other co-workers! I need to strive for a positive response every time I hear a judgmental remark!
Be more faithful in church and daily life (No snoozing!)
Kindness.
Invite new neighbors (gave names) to come to church with us. I invited them to come on Friday, but they couldn't. I'm going to keep working on them!!
Please God help me to stay in thy will, not mine!
SURRENDER!
I believe God wants me to clean out all the junk and put my best foot forward. I am praying for God to show me where we can make changes in our finances to make ends meet and for Him to guide me in my career.
I will continue with choir, bells, Sunday school and church. God bless OUMC. I don't know what I'd do with out God and this community of faith.
