Take a look at our 2016 trip to Chontala, Guatemala!

What in the world are we doing in Cuba?
Eight of us went to Cuba the last week of January 2016 .  The eight included Dr.Paul Fulghum, Dr. Bo Tucker, Kathy Story, Kathy Nipper, Melodie Brunson, John Janse, Pastor Jason and myself. We had a great time , good food, fellowship, lots of worship, some great spiritual experiences and the joy of making new friends. I want you to take the opportunity to ask any of the crew about their experience.
We visited 9 different churches ,the best known beach in Cuba, and old Havana. We saw the scenic countryside, old cars, horse drawn carts, roasted a pig, the city where our next church will be purchased and the old Hershey sugar mill, in Hershey Cuba
We had the pleasure of worshiping with our Cuban friends 3 days in a row for a total of 10 or so hours and we experienced marvelous things  including the Bishop healing a young girl, people being slain in the spirit ( ask Jason about that) Jason gave his testimony , a good sermon and Melodie gave her testimony of her healing from cancer.
It is hard to explain how or why but our visit brings the Cubans great joy. You see as Christians in Cuba they do not get to fellowship with Christians from other countries , the government limits their opportunities and their religious activities.  They are very loving and devoted Christians and have the fuego of the Holy Spirit in their lives. I think you will see some of this fuego in those of us that went to Cuba.  It's a strange mission trip experience where you are more blessed by the visit , than those whom you went to help, but that is how you feel. The Cubans are poor but rich in spirit and that spirit is contagious when you are with them.
Our Mission in Cuba, is really about the great commission helping to spread the gospel into the darkness. We have helped purchase or repair four churches over the last two and 1/2 years.
This year we will help purchase two more. One thanks to the generous contribution of John and Lilli Behrens. If we had more funds we could do more. We also funded a children's classroom for our sister church San Jose and a sound system for the San Nicolas church which we purchased last year.
If you are interested in going on a mission trip to Cuba, or making a contribution, or want to know more about the Cuban Methodist church, please feel free to contact me. Also we will be making a presentation of our photos and adventures soon.  Dios te Bendiga.
