RING A KETTLE BELL

Make a joyful noise!  There’s nothing better than this familiar sound to get us in the holiday spirit.  Income from the Kettle Campaign not only provides a Merry Christmas to the less fortunate, but also year-round assistance to homeless or struggling families.

OUMC is blessed to have Lakeshore Methodist partner with us again to man the Kettle at the 103rd St. Wal-Mart beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving and running until Christmas Eve.  Specific dates for sign-up will be throughout October and November.  What a great opportunity for small groups or Sunday School classes to take an entire day.

The Salvation Army is an integral part of the Christian Church, although distinctive in government and practice. The Army’s doctrine follows the mainstream of Christian belief and its articles of faith emphasize God’s saving purposes. Its objects are ‘the advancement of the Christian religion… of education, the relief of poverty, and other charitable objects beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.
