"The Playschool's mission is to provide a loving, positive, Christian environment in which to learn and play. We strive to promote emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth in each child and to help him/her develop to his/her potential."

Charter

The Ortega Playschool program is provided as a service to the community and is sponsored by Ortega United Methodist Church. Questions regarding the Ortega Playschool program, its policies or procedures, should be directed to the Director or Assistant Director of the Playschool at  387-0749.

Days and Hours of Operation

The program operates from September through May in accordance with the dates and hours listed below:

Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays

9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

School holidays usually coincide with those of Duval County Schools.  EMERGENCY CLOSINGS follow those of the Duval County Schools. 

Tuition and Fees

An annual registration fee for each child covers administration costs, school t-shirts, and consumable supplies. Monthly tuition is based on the child's enrollment in either the one, two or three days a week program. This monthly tuition is due by the 1st of each month. Please call the Playschool office at 387-0749 for current registration and tuition fees.

Extended Day - “Stay & Play”

Extended Day is available for children enrolled in the two, three and Pre-K classes from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. on school days. Please call the Playschool office for current extended day fees.

 

Chapel Services

A short chapel service is held in the Boyd Chapel each Wednesday at 9:20 A.M. The service consists of a message or story, songs and prayer.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend chapel.
